Calculating Polythene Covers
To calculate the amount required for an existing polytunnel throw a tape measure over the frame to measure the hoop circumference from ground level to ground level then add 2m to allow for burying in the trench - this is the width of polythene required. The length of polythene required is simply the length of the polytunnel added to its width. Please note: A delivery charge will be added to your order.

Anti Hot Spot Tape

Stick along outside edge of polytunnel tubing where it touches the polythene to insulate the polythene from the frame (which gets quite hot in sunlight). The slippery surface of the tape also protects the polythene from chafing. The table below shows the number of rolls required for each size of polytunnel.

Ventilation
The timber frame at one end of the polytunnel can be covered with Insect Net or Triflex Net and then covered with an additional door blind. This enables the polytunnel to be ventilated without letting in insects or animals.
