Developed over 50 years ago, our Fruit Cages are built to last and made to order in the UK. Using high quality materials, our fruit cages are available to suit any range of crops and settings. Each fruit cage comes with all the necessary equipment including net, fixings and door which are easy to assemble. Depending on the height of your soft fruits, choose between our walk-in fruit cages, low fruit cages or strawberry cages.
Vegetable Cages By Material
Our vegetable cages are custom made and come in steel or aluminium. For example, an aluminium walk-in fruit cage offers traditional robust yet lightweight material so you can move the structure easier if needed, whereas our steel cage structures are made of high tensile strength steel which is heavier and wind proof. Each Fruit Cage comes with the framework, standard roof and side nets, net fittings, wide ground pegs, a door (if you choose our walk-in cages) and full assembly instructions.

Even though all our fruit and vegetable cages come with all the equipment needed for assembly, in the event of a tree falling on your cage, you might need to buy replacement parts or accessories in case there's any damage. In this case, we offer individual set of connectors, specific fixtures, or new netting to buy per meter. The spare parts are compatible with both aluminium and steel fruit cages.
Our 50 Year Heritage
Knowle Nets was started in 1965 at Knowle Farm Bridport Dorset - the home of net making since the 9th century.
The tradition of hand finishing continues to this day in our Bristol workshops where all netting and tubes are cut by hand to fit your exact sizing - Each order is then carefully packaged for an easy installation.
Knowle Nets structures are unique in having swaged ends to the top tubes allowing all poles to be joined directly - the result is a much stronger structure built for many years to come and backed by our 10 year structural guarantee.
